Oaks Neigborhood Association Meeting Minutes of 26 January, 2012 Attendance: 8 Paul Richardson opened the meeting. Fred Vinas announced there were not enough attendance to elect officers. We will hold elections in February. October 2011 meeting minutes were read by Mark Cohen. Motion made to accept minutes as read. Seconded. Vote passed. Treasury - report given by Treasurer Paula Conley. The Balance as of 12/31/11 is $1449.00. Final report not sent to City for Block Party. $89.74 left for plaques. Membership and Beautification -report given by Mark Cohen. There are 19 paid members to date. There are 40 listed members; not all are active or paid up to date. ONA was recognized by the City of Garland for our beautification work in 2011 at Ablon Park. There was discussion to come up with a project to get people involved. Suggestions included upgrading the park on Robinglen. This would involve getting the City involved and getting a list of recently sold houses to get new owners ONA info. Fred Vinas announced there is an opening for Secretary. The meeting was adjourned.
